中國(guó)因其國(guó)寶(national treasure)—熊貓—而聞名于世。熊貓的食物竹子—也深受中國(guó)人民的喜愛。中國(guó)是世界上擁有竹子最多的國(guó)家，被稱為竹子的王國(guó)。竹文化長(zhǎng)久以來深深根植于中國(guó)人的思想中。對(duì)中國(guó)人民來說，竹子是美德的象征。它反映了人的靈魂和情感。中國(guó)古代的學(xué)者對(duì)竹子非常敬重。這就解釋了為什么歷史上有那么多的著作和繪畫都是以竹為主題的。

China is worldwide famous for its national treasure, the pandas.The panda's food, bamboo, is also favored by Chinese people.It is known as the Kingdom of Bamboo possessing more bamboos than any other country in the world. 1.中國(guó)因其國(guó)寶—熊貓—而聞名于世:“因...而聞名于世”可譯為be worldwide famous for,也可用be worldwideknown for來表示。類似的表達(dá)方式還有beknown/famous as(作為...而出名),be famous/knownto(對(duì)...來說很出名)。
2.中國(guó)是世界上擁有竹子最多的國(guó)家，被稱為竹子的王國(guó):前半句可以理解為“中國(guó)有比世界上任何國(guó)家都多的竹子”。后半句的“被稱為”可譯為be known as�！爸褡拥耐鯂�(guó)”可譯為the Kingdom of Bamboo。

中國(guó)是世界上公認(rèn)發(fā)明指南針的國(guó)家。早在2400多年前，中國(guó)人就創(chuàng)造出世界上最早的指南針。后來經(jīng)過不斷改進(jìn)，到宋朝(the Song Dynasty)人們制造出鐵針指南針并應(yīng)用于航海。中國(guó)是第一個(gè)在海船上使用指南針的國(guó)家。指南針為明代(the Ming Dynasty)鄭和下西洋提供了條件。后來指南針傳入歐洲，推動(dòng)了歐洲航海事業(yè)的發(fā)展為，哥倫布(Columbus)的航行提供了技術(shù)保證。

China is universally recognized as the country having invented the compass. As early as 2,400 years ago, Chinese people created the earliest compass in the world. Later it was further improved continuously. During the Song Dynasty, people produced the compass with iron needles and applied it in navigation. China is the first country using the compass on seagoing ships. The compass provided aid for Zheng He's voyages to the Western Ocean in the Ming Dynasty. Later the compass spread into Europe, promoting the development of the European marine industey and guaranteeing technical support for Columbus' navigation.
1.第1句中的“發(fā)明指南針的”可處理成后置定語，用現(xiàn)在分詞短語having invented the compass來表達(dá)，也可用定語從句which has invented...來表達(dá)。
