some people think that we dont need internet. on one hand, life can get on fairly well without it. on the other hand, internet is easily affected by bugs(故障，錯(cuò)誤), jam(阻塞), cybercrime(網(wǎng)絡(luò)犯罪). however, i think quite the oppposite, my answer to this question is a resounding (響亮的) "yes".
my reasons are as follows. firstly, i-phone (網(wǎng)絡(luò)電話) and e-mail provide friends at home and abroad with an economical and practical (經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)惠的) channel of communications. secondly, internet can be a bridge to make the world know more about china, and vice versa (反之亦然). thirdly, as a new type of open school and news media, internet enables us to gain access to interesting knowledge and latest information. apart from these, internet plays vital roles in politics, military, economy, medicine and other walks (方面) of modern life in information age.
therefore, we come to the conclusion that we do need internet to improve the quality of life and enrich our country. as a fruit of the information revolution, internet itself is not a curse(禍). we should eploit its potential and make it serve us well. with healthy development and proper management of internet, people may find that internet will be indispensable (絕對(duì)必要的)to life.

What I've mentioned above is the surface messages conveyed by the cartoon. It seems from the hen's proud look that she is expected to make a promise for the egg she lays. It fact, it is clear that the hen promises what turns out to be her own duty.
There are some possible reasons for this common social phenomenon. For one thing, the social competition is becoming so fierce that all trades tend to produce ads to make themselves better known to the public. For another, they're not prepared to face the challenge and as a result, they can do little except declare their own duty as something praiseworthy.
In my opinion, every trade should try every means to improve its competitive forces instead of boasting like the hen in the cartoon.
